I think you can file an FOIA (freedom of information act) form to get copy of your 140 approval from USCIS. The only problem is that it will take some time to do that.

Guys complaining that the Indian Govt will not help us is nothing but a cry-baby thing. Ofcourse we get last preference! The Government in India will Obviously help the Indians in India first. I mean the country gave us our education and we turned our backs to it "so to speak". When the country was in trouble we escaped it, now that it is doing well, we expect it to solve our problems and crib that it is doing nothing for us? Let's not forget, we can STILL go back and lead great lives there, but we CHOOSE to be here.
I am all for exploring different avenues to solve this crisis. But at the same time i request all the members on here to please refrain from India/Indian Government bashing. It is very easy to keep asking what the Indian government has done for its ppl. If you go to India today, u will see a Sea of change from as late as 2000. The economy is doing great and ppl are happier than ever. I am also in the same situation and I asked my attorney. He said that if we can get notarized affidavits from Parents then it is sufficient. So get the format from your attorney and get it signed by your parents. They need at least 2 affidavits who were present at the time of the birth.

Can you atleast say which way it is going? People awaiting reform can relax for 6 months as well.
I see few volunteers encouraging members to call representatives and also help IV by contributing financially - and they update the forum almost every 5 minutes (thanks to their dedication) - but if the efforts are not going to materialize NOW - should we not relax until the time was appropriate?

In real practice, they leave a note in PO Box. After reading note, that something is for you, you need to stand in Q, sign it and receive it.

I never ask for Signature Confirmation on PO Box. Delivery Confirmation is enough.

I had 2 RFE's related to photo's only. One for AP(1st time). The next one for EAD.
You got to be extra cautious with digital picture's. First time for EAD, digital got accepted and RFE for AP.
I took digital pictures once in CVS and once in another store.
Nowadays I go to a protraits shop and get a polaroid.
Digital are fine, but there are some quality requirements. Check these sites for more details

A friend of mine just came from India. Works for a bodyshopper. He is transferring to L-1A so that he can file in EB-1 multinational manager. Is this possible? What are the minimum requirements for EB-1?
If it is possible this guy will be laughing a year from now, gc in hand, while we all fume and fret over retrogression, labor, i-140 etc..
My company has filed for EB-1 multinational manager for me.....I was on L1A earlier. I dont think the process is as fast as some folks think......specially since for EB1 manager category I140 premium processing is not allowed......
I guess the requirement for L1A is that one should be managing a business, people and processes...... and should have been employed in managerial capacity for the same company outside US......once L1A is done (it takes 5-6 days under premium procesing).....my understanding is that it establishes a strong basis for EB1 filing

1) if you have money and time u can do as many trades as u like ( no restrictions ) even u can execute a trade every minute ( provided ur employer won't mind )
2) Taxes has to be reported only on closing of position ( either in capital gain / loss ) as said by others
FYI: for tax terms refer captial gains tax details ( as of now more than 1 year holding 15%, less than a year is > 15% etc., )
