I do not think it is a normal scenario. A lot of my friends work for in the software industry. There are generally no delays in getting a paystub if salary is deposited regularly.
Please ask your employer to be more prompt at providing pay stubs as you need those for everything that requires income proof.

The terms "Active Trader", and "Active Investor" may sometimes denote two completely different things.

While this opens you up to a pandoras box of regulatory and compliance related stuff - which I would find to be too onerous as an individual - it is perfectly OK to do this in H1B from an immigration law standpoint.

My experience is that you can't collect your passport same day of your interview. After your interview, your visa will be approved. But your passport will get to VFS hand only after 2 business days. You might have to stay in Chennai for 2 days after your interview to be able to collect the passport from VFS counter in Chennai. I had same issue. I was suppose to be in US day after interview and passport was struck between consulate and VFS. I ended up coming to US 3 days after my initial Plan. Good luck. This is my experience from Nov 2006.

That's true for my case. My labor certification was denied once due to the naive aknowledge of my para-legal attorney. It caused my LC was delay 1 year then I was stuck by Retrogression. Again at filing I-485, if I have not carefully studied the immi laws and reviewed my case, my attorney might mess it up. Many times I found my non-professional, clumsy knowledge on Immi laws is even better than my para-legal attorney

Hi Everyone,
Dont know if anyone thought about this or not.
I know so many people have switched their previous employer who actually filed for GC.
The employer also had the GC cost deducted from the employees salary.
Now my situation is the same.
I no longer work for the previous employer and my offer letter does say that employer will cover the cost of GC.
but what actually happened is something that happened with so many people.
Now since i dont work for that employer is it appropriate to ask the employer to reimburse me the GC cost as it was mentioned in the offer letter that employer will pay for the GC processing?
BTW.. my 485 is filed and i do have my EAD
let me know if someone has more information about it.

I got the pink slip 3 weeks back with one month severance. So my target was to secure the job in one month to avoid loss of pay. Finally secured the job with 3 offers from 3 top companies.
Some tips if it may be helpful to others , that I recently expereinced
1. Read your resume thoroughly and see if there are anything that you can improve and make the resume with the core skills, do not make the resume of mix of different profiles, like dba, architect, project manager, make them all seperate.
2. Try to make the submission to the direct employer or recruiter on top of the chain. You can do that finding contacts on linked in.
3. Do not compromise a lot, this makes these recruiters to think that you are vulnerable for any exploitation, (happened with me, I kicked there butt after getting selected and telling them on why did I do that)

Do you think, I won't have problem even I do not have paystubs for October, 2008. I gave my OPT card, OPT I20 and latest pay stubs of Company B (until September 2008) and Company C (until June, 2009). Would they work? Please let me know. Thanks a lot for your advice.

Can someone please confirm if "Card Production Ordered" email from USCIS mean my 485 is approved and I have gotten GC ?
I have only got this "Card Production Ordered" email and not an email specifically saying "485 approved". How long does it take after "Card Production Ordered" email to get actual card.
Also if May bulletin is Unavailable it still means that GC;s issued if your date is current in April are valid ? My email came yesterday same day as the new May bulletin ?
When they approve, they have to check boxes for emails/actions. Sometimes they forget some of them. Your email confirms that your GC journey is over. Congrats.
