A gala carnival got the IPL Season2 off to a festive start today. Star players along with high profile franchise owners gathered together on an overcast day in the most scenic city of South Africa, Cape Town.
The players who were a part of this gala carnival were Brett Lee, Yuvraj Singh, Kevin Pietersen, Adam Gilchrist, Kumar Sangakkara and Sanath Jayasuriya. All of them were in good spirits, soaking in the attention.
The team owners who led their teams in the parade today were Shah Rukh Khan, Priety Zinta and Manoj Badale.
IPL Season2 is going to be played at 8 venues in South Africa over the next 5 weeks.
The tournament will start on Saturday when a gala opening ceremony will officially set the ball rolling. On Saturday and Sunday 2 matches are scheduled.
It is well known that South Africa is a sports loving nation and it is sure that they take the IPL Season2 warmly, which promises thrilling action over the next five weeks there.
